1 Peter 1:22-25  (HCSB)
22 By obedience to the truth, having purified yourselves for sincere love of the brothers, love one another earnestly from a pure heart, 23 since you have been born again —not of perishable seed but of imperishable—through the living and enduring word of God. 24 For All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like a flower of the grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, 25 but the word of the Lord endures forever.

When I read this passage, my mind was filled with joy thinking about verse 25. ‘The Word of the Lord endures forever’. What a magnificent statement! This Word that shows me the way to have everlasting life ,how to have a relationship with a Holy God, will never go away. Just like the promise that is made to each one of us, that our salvation will never be lost. Our Salvation is eternal just as the Word of the Lord is eternal. But as the commercials like to say ‘that’s not all’. This verse ends with the statement ‘this is the word that was preached as the gospel to you.’ Have you thanked God lately for that someone who was faithful to preach the Word to you?
