Questions for the Week

1.  In 1 Samuel 10: 3-8, Samuel gives Saul a list of several very specific things and events that are to happen. Has God ever laid out a plan for you that was very specific? Why do you think sometimes He lays it out very plain, and sometimes it seems like a “learn as you go” plan?

2. We talked earlier in the week about how lots of times in our lives our anointing is “secret” and not public or “flashy”.  Why do YOU think God chooses to do it in this manner so often?

3. As we end this passage in Samuel we see how even though they had begged the Lord for a king, some people still were not satisfied with or sold on Saul. Has God ever answered a prayer or desire of your heart and you find yourself still not satisfied or at ease? Why do you think, as humans, we always question those who know what’s best for us?
