Questions for the Week

1.  When you think about God being in control, what does that mean to you? Israel was often surrounded by enemies and would cry out to God. What difference does it make that God has the power, authority, and desire to work for the good of His people?

2. In the book of Judges, God chose to save His people through fallen, broken, and weak people –it wasn’t a miraculous and instantaneous occurrence. Why was Gideon weak and fearful? What would have changed his emotion towards God’s calling?

3. Judges 7 is a miraculous account of 300 men fooling an army far larger than their own...only it wasn’t. It was about GOD making it clear that it was NOT about them but HIM. When has God defeated something beyond your control? What impact did that have on your past? What effect did it have on your present?
