2 Corinthians 10:1-6  (HCSB)
Paul’s Apostolic Authority

10 Now I, Paul, make a personal appeal to you by the gentleness and graciousness of Christ—I who am humble among you in person but bold toward you when absent. 2 I beg you that when I am present I will not need to be bold with the confidence by which I plan to challenge certain people who think we are behaving in an unspiritual way. 3 For though we live in the body, we do not wage war in an unspiritual way, 4 since the weapons of our warfare are not worldly, but are powerful through God for the demolition of strongholds. We demolish arguments 5 and every high-minded thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God, taking every thought captive to obey Christ. 6 And we are ready to punish any disobedience, once your obedience has been confirmed.

Israel Brooks
If I handed you a hammer when you asked for a hairbrush, you would look at me as if I were crazy. And rightfully so, for it would be ridiculous to brush your hair with a hammer. That is not even close to the right tool for the job. The right tool makes all the difference in completing a job effectively. If you do not use the right tool, you will at best be delayed and at worst unable to complete the job. As a Christian “though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world.” We/they are contrary. We live contrary, no longer as the Gentiles do. We fight contrary. As a soldier for Christ, then you cannot fight the battle with self. You cannot demolish strongholds with the natural. Christians are a new creation and the old is gone! If we want to fight victoriously, if we want to be bold, if we want to demolish, if we want to take captive, we must use the divine tools... Christ and obedience to Him.
