Sunday Connect Lesson for January 29, 2023
Paul's teachings on how we should use God's gift of sexuality complement such teaching all through the Scriptures.
God designed sex. From the beginning, He made male and female and instructed Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply. His plan for sexuality is right and good.
Study the Word: Key Truth: Do not be deceived by the world's view of sexuality (1 Corinthians 6:9-20). Our culture dismisses God's ideal for sex only within the bonds of marriage, but do not be fooled into thinking that immorality will provide more joy or pleasure.
Key Truth: God's will for sexual activity is best for us (1 Thessalonians 4:3-6). Husbands and wives are able to fully enjoy sexuality in their union with God's blessings.
Key Truth: Sexual Immorality must be put to death (Colossians 3:5-6). Scripture's teaching is straightforward and without exception. God wants what is best for His children and demands purity in both body and mind.

Family Connection: Continue the discussion after church! Why is it important to guard what we see, hear, and think? Who helps us make choices that please God?
