Simplicity

It’s hard to believe that it is 2024.  Where does the time go?  We have been in our new worship center for an entire year.  God continues to do some amazing things here at Temple Baptist Church.  I hope you are excited about this new year and how you can serve God through your local church body.

Our theme for 2024 is Simplicity! Jesus told His disciples to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you (Matthew 6:33 - HCSB).  How many times do we get things out of order?  We are overwhelmed with the complexity of this life and yet we never stop to consider how God might be willing to handle our issues or bless us if we only walked with Him.

No matter your stage of life, God wants to be first place and He really does care about your situation.  Maybe you’re that young person that is so busy and can’t figure out how to do one more thing.  Or, you’re sitting in your house wondering if it will be another boring day with not much to do or accomplish.

The answer for all of us is God.  We need to seek after Him and let Him direct our paths.      This devotional book is a great way for you to stay connected to Him and your church.  As we read the scriptures each day we are personally meeting with our Heavenly Father and then as we gather together we can share what God has shown us or changed in our lives.

I know of no better way to “seek after God” than to read His word.  Make that a priority in your life this year and notice how much simpler life becomes.  See, it really is all about Simplicity!
