Matthew 19:3-6 (HCSB)
3 Some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?” 4 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate."
Michael Rigsby The world continually tries to create doubt for anyone living a life for Christ. The devil finds no greater pleasure than to create doubt among God’s children. Today we have all kinds of different people groups that are only concerned with the justification and promotion of their personal desires. They have overlooked the will of God but we cannot not let those people groups influence God’s Word. It was written in the old testament and repeated by Jesus himself in the New Testament that God created us male and female, and this should be more than enough evidence that any other belief or popular trend in society today is against the will of God. Prayerfully consider how you can show the love of Christ today to someone who may not have heard the Word of God, someone who is confused by society, or that is knowingly living in a situation that defies His will for us. Pray that you can be an example to them and touch their lives in a way that would plant the seed for them to question their choices and give God a chance.
