Questions for the Week

  1. Revelation 21 is full of hope for what our eternity will look like. It can be a salve for the soul in hard times and a light in darkness. Is it possible to be “so heavenly minded” that we are no “earthly good”? What is the real problem with the person accused of this? What is the real issue of the one making the accusation?
  2. What are some of the ways that this world is broken? What does it mean that God “will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away” in Revelation 4? How is that a reversal of the Curse in Genesis 3?
  3. Revelation was written by the Apostle John while exiled to a penal colony and approaching the end of his life. What impact do those circumstances have on your understanding of justice in Rev. 22:12? Even more, what impact does that have on your understanding of evangelism in 22:17? Does Jesus Second Coming create a sense of urgency in you to share the gospel?
