QUESTIONS FOR THE WEEK

1.     The first people who heard angels announce Jesus’ birth were lowly shepherds. They possibly watched over the very flocks used in the Temple sacrifices. Likely, their jobs were often menial but still incredibly important. Do you see your work this way – as an incredible opportunity to share Jesus with others? Do you believe God can use YOU there?

2.     When Jesus was 33 days old, He was presented in the Temple (vss. 22-36). A man named Simeon had been eagerly awaiting the Messiah. It also says that a woman named Anna told everyone who He was! The Gospel really IS good news! Do you get excited about it? Do you eagerly wait for Jesus to show up in your life? How often do you tell others about Him?

3.     Even at 12, Jesus was eagerly seeking God, His Father – so much so that it astonished everyone around Him. Do you seek God, regardless of what others think? Do you spend time in the Bible so you can “increase in wisdom”? How often? Why/why not?
