QUESTIONS FOR THE WEEK

1.     The Old Testament closes with what we call the “Minor Prophets” – because they are shorter than the other Prophetic books. 500 years before Jesus, they made several prophecies about Him. In Micah 5:2, Jesus was to come from humble beginnings. How does knowing Jesus couldn’t fake His genealogy make you more sure of His divinity?

2.     Zechariah 9:9 contains a prophecy that Jesus fulfilled in the Triumphal Entry (Matt 21:1-5, Mark 11:1-11, Luke 19:28-40, John 12:12-19). Why does it matter that Jesus rode a donkey (not a stallion) in His first coming?  Compare that to Rev. 19:11-21 where Jesus, at the Second Coming, rides a stallion. Why does it matter that Jesus offered peace before punishment?

3.     The “day of his coming” in Malachi 3:1-4 speaks of Jesus’ Second Coming. It is a day that God rights all wrongs and judges mankind. It is a day of rejoicing for Christians, but it is NOT a good day for any lost person. Knowing that judgment is final, just, and forever – HOW can you intentionally share the Gospel? WHO can you share it with? WHEN will you share it?
