Reaping What You Sow
 
 The events of 2 Kings took place after the kingdom was divided following the reigns of David and Solomon. The events of this section took place around 586 BC when Jerusalem and Judah fell to the Babylonians.

Sin seems to promise so much! We can have pleasure, position, prosperity, and power without God. But sin will always eventually leave you and those you love empty-hearted and empty-handed.

Study the Word: Key Truth: God disciplines those who lead His people astray (2 Kings 25:1-7). Zedekiah thought he could resist and run from God's judgement. He was wrong! Zedekiah witnessed the death of his sons, the death of his court officials, and the destruction of Jeruselem.

Key Truth: God disciplines His people when they continue in disobedience (2 Kings 25:8-21). Jerusalem, the epicenter of worship for Israel, was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar's Babylonian armies.
