QUESTIONS FOR THE WEEK

  1.  Philippians 3:2-6 warns against trusting your flesh. One problem people have is that they trust themselves. They work harder and longer to get ahead – at school, in sports, at work, compared to others... Is this something you struggle with? What area are you most prone to trust yourself instead of Christ?
  2. One day we will all stand before Christ and realize just how much of the stuff we “gained” was     really a net loss eternally. Paul said his biggest gain was “being found in Him” (Philippians 3:9).     Would you agree with Paul here? Do you struggle with that idea? Why?
  3. Paul was not perfect, but he still called others to imitate him. Why? He was pursuing the “heavenly call in Christ Jesus.” How much of what you do should be imitated by others? Honestly, for me, not as much as I would hope. Where should your example change?
