Deuteronomy 24:14-15(HCSB)
14 “Do not oppress a hired hand who is poor and needy, whether one of your brothers or one of the foreigners residing within a town in your land. 15 You are to pay him his wages each day before the sun sets, because he is poor and depends on them. Otherwise he will cry out to the Lord against you, and you will be held guilty.

Throughout my life, I have found myself on both sides of the fence. I have been more fortunate and less fortunate. For me, it is very humbling to think of where I came from. Were it not for the grace of God and His people in my life, I certainly would not be where I am now.  While it’s a blessing to be where we are in life, we should never look down on someone who is less fortunate. We should treat everyone with the same respect and compassion. We should show them, by our actions, how important God has been in our life.  I can remember my mother often saying, “You can lead a horse to water but you cannot make it drink. If you try too hard, you will just drown it.”  That can also be true with people. Unfortunately, some simply don’t want help. Satan has blinded so many people and all they see is the darkness of this world. If you try, your light can shine through the darkness and God can overcome their restraints. I encourage you to be steadfast – don’t try to drown them – just love them.  In your daily prayer, pray that God would give you the humility to be grateful for where you are in life, compassion for the less fortunate, and willingness to help others who need help.

HOW CAN I APPLY IT?
