Ephesians 6:5-9 (HCSB)
Slaves and Masters

5 Slaves, obey your human masters with fear and trembling, in the sincerity of your heart, as to Christ. 6 Don’t work only while being watched, in order to please men, but as slaves of Christ, do God’s will from your heart. 7 Serve with a good attitude, as to the Lord and not to men, 8 knowing that whatever good each one does, slave or free, he will receive this back from the Lord. 9 And masters, treat your slaves the same way, without threatening them, because you know that both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with Him.

As I look at verses 6-7, I think about people who tend to do their job to the best of their abilities while their boss is observing them. When the boss is not around, they often tend to slack off. This is also very common in Christianity today. If we are not at church, we feel we are not being judged by our actions. However, God is always with us, and He is always watching over us.  I have always been taught to give the same amount of respect to the custodian as I would to the CEO of the company. We are to treat all people just as Jesus treats us, no matter their position in life.  In your daily prayer, pray that God will give you the ability to have a drive that is pleasing to Him. Pray that He will help you keep a good attitude.

HOW CAN I APPLY IT?
