QUESTIONS FOR THE WEEK

  1. Being in prison is not a good thing – every aspect of a prisoner’s life is controlled by another.   Why would Paul refer to himself as a prisoner (vs. 4:1)?  Who is in charge of his life?  Are you     willingly submitting yourself to God? In work? In relationships? In finances?  In your time? If our   good God is in control, can you willingly submit to His leading?
  2. Vss. 4:17-24 speaks of how sin blinds your mind. That blindness affects your thoughts, understanding, actions, heart, and relationships. HD often says that “where there is anger, there is sin.” Where are you angry? Can you trace that anger back to a sin you are either blinded by or blinded to?
  3. When Paul talks to about imitating God as beloved children, he goes on to list what that SHOULDN’T look like…and it sounds a LOT like the world we live in. All of us struggle with something he lists. What sin do you need to “put off” in that list? What righteousness do you need to “put on” in its place?
