BLESSINGS IN CHRIST
Paul wrote his letter to the Ephesians while under house arrest in Rome around AD 61 or 62. In this section of the letter, Paul wrote about the great blessings believers enjoy in Christ and about his prayers for the Ephesian believers.
Being "in Christ" opens the floodgates of spiritual blessings into the lives of those who choose to believe in Christ.
Study the Word: Key Truth: Believers Enjoy Spiritual Blessings That Include Adoption Into God's Family, Forgiveness of Sins, and an Eternal Inheritance (Ephesians 1:3-14). All the rights and privileges of family, through Jesus Christ, are immediately transferred to each believer. We share in the riches of His grace and are given the Holy Spirit as the guarantee of our inheritance.
Key Truth: Believers Pray for Themselves, and Others, to Have Spiritual Insight to Know God More Fully and Deeply (Ephesians 1:15-23). Paul's model prayer in these verses leads us to thanksgiving and celebrates our victorious position because of all that Christ has done for us.
