Ephesians 1:15-19 (HCSB)
Prayer for Spiritual Insight

15 This is why, since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 I never stop giving thanks for you as I remember you in my prayers. 17 I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. 18 I pray that the perception of your mind may be enlightened so you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the glorious riches of His inheritance among the saints, 19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power to us who believe, according to the working of His vast strength.

When you read Ephesians 1:15-19, what did you feel? Read it again, and this time, really concentrate on the words and how they make your heart feel. Beating faster? Slower? Are you smiling for no reason? For me, I felt peace, as though my stressed-out heart began beating ever so calmly and the doubts of the day slowly faded. That calm and joyous feeling can only come from one place – the love of Jesus Christ. As followers of Christ, it’s important that we pray for ourselves, and show thanksgiving to God for all His blessings but we should also make it a priority to pray for others. Why settle for praying silently? Let your brother or sister in Christ know you are praying for them. Let them know that God has put them on your heart and that you are speaking to Jesus, asking Him to put His mighty hand on them and guide them in the direction God has paved. It’s easy to say, “I’ll pray for you,” but the follow through sometimes falls short.  Who is someone you are praying for today?

HOW CAN I APPLY IT?
