1. Culture often runs very contrary to Scripture. Is there an area where you might be “ashamed of the gospel” (1:16) because of how different it is from the world’s standards? Is there someone safe to discuss that with?

2. We are saved because of Jesus alone (5:15-17). Why do we often act like we are in charge of our salvation? On the flip side, why do we take Jesus’ gift for granted with our sin?

3. The Bible often calls sin “slavery” (6:15-23). Slavery involves exhausting labor and restricted freedom as well as being controlled by someone else. How is sin like that? What sin do you struggle with most? How does it affect you?
