QUESTIONS FOR THE WEEK
1. The last verse of 1 Kings 6 and the first of 1 Kings 7 tell us Solomon spent almost twice as much time building his own home than he did the Temple. Why? What does that indicate about his priorities?
2. After Solomon finished building the Temple, God’s glory was so overwhelmingly present the priests couldn’t minister (1 Kings 8:11). Have you ever seen God show up in a big way? How does God’s past work give us hope for present trials?
3. In 1 Kings 9:1-9, God promised to bless obedience but judge disobedience (1 Kings 11 confirms this). How is it good when God, your Father, disciplines you? How is God blessing you now?
