Ephesians 1:7-10 (HCSB)
7 We have redemption in Him through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace 8 that He lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. 9 He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure that He planned in Him10 for the administration of the days of fulfillment—to bring everything together in the Messiah, both things in heaven and things on earth in Him.

Joel Robertson

At times, when I pray, I say the Lord’s Prayer, or the Our Father.  I love this model prayer that Christ has given us.  “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” When we pray this, we are calling for the unity of heaven and earth. We are calling for the unity of His will to be done in and through our lives.  I hear the Apostle echo this prayer in today’s reading.  There is much about the Christian faith that is a mystery. God is a mysterious God. He is revealing His good and pleasing will before us each day, and we are partakers of this divine action.  We are fellow laborers, with Christ, to bring about His divine will to the nations. When you go about your day today, think on how you are in a very big story, so much bigger than yourself. And this God of all creation wants you to be a part of it! He is calling you by name to spread His gospel to the places where your foot treads. Be bold in this mission and tell people the Good News!
