Message from Pastor HD

It is almost hard to write November and December. To me it should still be just the end of summer. I always heard time moves faster the older you get… well, I’m there! Please slow down.
November is Banana Pudding Lovers month which is a good thing. We tend to focus on family and food these last two months of the year. I hope you will also focus on your scripture reading with me. It will be more beneficial than Banana Pudding. Maybe you should eat Banana Pudding while reading your morning devotional. That seems like a plan. Anyway, we will be spending some time in the book of Joshua and then on to Advent for December. Joshua is a great book because of one phrase, “be strong and courageous”. God had to tell His main leader to be something he wasn’t naturally. Join us each week as we see how God brings us strength and courage. You were never intended to do life by yourself. Then, in December, we will again focus on Hope, Love, Joy, and Peace. Jesus is the gift that brings all of these things into our lives. I want to encourage each of you to invite someone to be with us at Temple during the holiday season. Everyone needs Hope, Love, Joy or Peace and you can be the person God uses to reach others. Almost 90%, including atheists, say they would come to church if you invited them to be there with you.
We have had a great year.. let’s finish strong!
