A Message from Pastor H.D.
I hope you enjoyed our small break from the D6 curriculum while we ventured into S.E.R.V.E. I hope that you found that helpful to at least get you thinking where God wants you to serve Him and His Kingdom. If you are totally confused… please catch a staff person or a guest services person and tell them you want to learn more about how to serve God and others.
Now back to our regularly scheduled program. It’s October, and normally we think about Fall Festivals, hayrides, and smores around the campfire. I know we all have some great memories about this time of year. One year my youth group went to a church’s haunted house (so weird) and we saw a guy dressed as the devil. We decided to dog pile him (bunch of people jump on) because we thought it was a buddy from school. Turns out it was one of their elders and he was none too happy with us. Anyway, fall is a great time of year.
In our Connect reading this month we will spend a lot of time in the book of Romans. In this book Paul will challenge our faith. Where do we get it, how do we grow it, and how should we use it for God’s glory. I hope you will read and be prepared as you come to Connect and Worship. It will help your faith. Romans 10:17 (HCSB) 17 So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the message about Christ.
You will never enjoy your Christian journey if you're not in the word and in fellowship with other believers. So, Fall INTO Temple this October and let’s celebrate good weather, good bible study, good worship, and good fellowship.
We Love you Temple,
HD & Susan
