A Note from Pastor HD

Wow, time flies when you are having fun. It seems like only yesterday we were getting ready for Breaker Rock Beach at VBS and now it is September. You know what that means… Upward football and cheer. We are so blessed at Temple to provide a myriad of opportunities for the people of God to serve our community and our congregation. This is an exciting season at Temple. God has blessed us with numerous baptisms, an opportunity to mentor our marriages, we have moved to two worship services and two connect hours, and I’m already excited about the missions opportunities that are ahead of us. With that said, we need to make sure that every member is aware of their Kingdom Potential and are plugged into the ministries where they can serve best. That is why we are so excited about our Ministry Mapping Training that we will be discussing in our Connect Classes in September. We will go through a discovery process to determine where each of us can best serve the church. ‌
We will discuss the following: ‌
S - Spiritual Gifts - what the Holy Spirit gives you to empower you to serve ‌
E - Experiences - those unique events that molded your life ‌
R - Relational Style - how we relate to others ‌
V - Vocational Skills - those talents and abilities you have mastered in the world ‌
E - Enthusiasm - the passion you have to help others. ‌
What we will discover is that each one of us is uniquely qualified by God to serve in the body of Christ. Each of us is vitally important. And when we don’t use these gifts / abilities/ and experiences that God has granted us then we are not operating at our fullest potential and we handicap the local church body. So, get ready to learn what God has for you and how you can be utilized by your King! Here we GO Temple!
