Amos 5:21-24 (HCSB)
21 I hate, I despise your feasts! I can’t stand the stench of your solemn assemblies. 22 Even if you offer Me your burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them; I will have no regard for your fellowship offerings of fattened cattle.  23 Take away from Me the noise of your songs!  I will not listen to the music of your harps. 24 But let justice flow like water, and righteousness, like an unfailing stream.

This passage in Amos reminds us that the only way to worship God is with a humble, faithful and truthful heart. Like David, we have to be a people that God knows and has a relationship with. It can’t be fake. It has to come from our hearts. Don’t praise God if you don’t really love and worship God as your Savior. He knows the difference because He knows your heart. Just like Jesus calls us to pray and tithe in secret, worship in secret more than you worship in public. Then your public praise will be sincere and humble praises. That’s when the Jesus filter kicks in high gear and you really get to see our AMAZING God show up and show out! You all pull up the Revelation Song on your playlist today and sing it to the top of your lungs and with so much love for God that you end up with your hands in the air shouting: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty! Who was and is and is to come! With all creation I sing: Praise to the King of kings! You are my everything and I will adore You!" Have a blessed day and don’t forget to get your worship on today (but keep one hand on the wheel if you’re praising while driving, please).
