Sunday Connect Lesson for July 23, 2023
From One To Another
Paul wrote Titus around AD 65 during the time between his first and second imprisonments.
Study the Word: New life in Christ is wholistic, affecting the entire person. It transforms our personality, external behavior, and even the culture around us. It changes not only who we are and how we think but also how we live.
Key Truth: How we live should be consistent with what we believe (Titus 2:1-10). We should uphold sound doctrine and continually be teachable, receiving instruction from one another to become more like Christ.
Key Truth: Our efforts should be consistent with God's purposes (Titus 2:11-15). We declare the truth with authority, teaching and training others because of the grace of God. Teaching is an essential component of discipleship.
Family Connection: Continue the discussion after church! Why should how we live be consistent with what we believe? In what ways can we seek to pass along our faith to others? Who are some people who pass along their faith to you?
