A Note From Pastor H.D.

Is it just me or does it seem that our world has gone crazy?  Everywhere we look there is brokenness, fighting, finger pointing, protesting, and even war.  It’s as if people are very unhappy and they are searching for peace, love, hope, and security but all they find is disappointment and difficulties.  That then leads to all the fighting, etc.  

We know the answer is always Jesus and HE is our only hope in this life and the next.  The Bible is plain to tell us that there is life with Him and only death without Him.  In reading through Ezra and Nehemiah in June we noticed that Jesus was our RESTORER.  As we read our Bibles together over the next two months, we will discover that Jesus is our INTERCESSOR in Hebrews and our Triumphant KING in the book of Revelation.  

I’m not always clear on “how and why D6 puts together our Connect Lessons” but I love the fact that God is showing us the Supremacy of Christ in these Crazy Days!  Yes, there is turmoil in the world; yes, we worry about all the brokenness; and yes, we feel helpless to change things, but God is not surprised by our current situation.  How amazing for us to be reminded that Jesus is in the Restoration Business; that He is better than angels, priests, and leaders as He sits in heaven interceding for us; and how one day He will return to set things in order as our Triumphant King.
