Nehemiah 2:19-20 (HCSB)
19 When Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite official, and Geshem the Arab heard about this, they mocked and despised us, and said, “What is this you’re doing? Are you rebelling against the king?” 20 I gave them this reply, “The God of heaven is the One who will grant us success. We, His servants, will start building, but you have no share, right, or historic claim in Jerusalem.”
Shannon Jamison
The complainers did not stop. Nehemiah responded by telling them that the God of heaven will help him succeed and His servants will start rebuilding the wall. God was behind Nehemiah meaning Jerusalem would be rebuilt. Romans 8:31-"What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?" We are all called to make a difference. Do we expect others to do something about that situation? God calls the right people to do what He needs them to do. Is God calling you to do something?
