Luke 18:1-8  (HCSB)
8 I tell you that He will swiftly grant them justice. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He find that faith[a] on earth?”

This is not the first time or the last time that God is compared to a human in how He grants requests. Here, the author simply makes a logical point: when someone is persistent, they often get what they want. “The squeaky wheel gets the grease”. God honors our requests and our persistence pays off. The caveat here is very similar to what we discussed yesterday. Jesus grants every prayer said in “My name”. Our persistent prayers must be in line with God’s will to be granted. Sometimes this can seem ambiguous or we can question what God’s will is on a micro day-to-day level. We all have those questions. We also all know God’s will on a macro level: knowing Him and making Him known. These are the requests He will always grant when we are persistent.
