QUESTIONS FOR THE WEEK

We live in a crazy world. Why should we expect opposition if we are serving God? How does Daniel handle that? Daniel’s faithfulness to God led him to disobey the earthly king. Where do you find it harder to obey God and not man (cultural pressures, work, education, etc.)? Why?
What can we learn from Daniel about how to live faithfully amidst a culture that does not honor God? What characteristics make Daniel stand out and allow him to ascend to high leadership EVEN while living different than the culture?
Daniel 7:13-14 talks about Jesus in His Second Coming. How is Jesus glorified by having some from every nation serving Him? Where does our culture NOT serve Him? Where does our culture, though very broken, still reflect an image of Jesus' rule and reign?
