Questions for the Week
1. Have you ever spent a whole day praying? Me neither! Try this: one day this week, try and
remember all the good that you have in your life. List them out loud. Take turns listing
them with your family. There’s something about acknowledging the good that makes the
bad disappear. Report to Jason at the end of the week so we’ll know you did it. (just
kidding) At the end of the day, you will have wound up ‘praying’ most of the day without
ever having said two churchy words.
2. Can you remember a time when you felt God had sorta left you to figure something out by yourself? And how lonely that felt? Write it down below and then read it back to yourself
and ask, “Did He leave me alone .... Or did I leave Him behind?”
3. Why do you think God wants you to talk to Him? Make a list of the reasons you can think of and then think about those things for a while. Then, make another list of why you think God would want to talk to you. This little exercise can really reveal a lot about your private
conversations with God. They really are conversations more than requests for stuff ...
maybe call it “prayer.”
