2 Corinthians 11:12-15  (HCSB)
12 But I will continue to do what I am doing, in order to deny the opportunity of those who want an opportunity to be regarded just as our equals in what they boast about. 13 For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder! For Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15 So it is no great thing if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their destiny will be according to their works.

Always double check what people are preaching and teaching. Make sure that the Bible is held high and that God’s Word is not misused. Just the other day, I was watching a “prosperity gospel” preacher and he used the story of Gideon and his 300 men to encourage 300 listeners to give $1,000 to his ministry. He told them that God would richly bless these givers like He blessed Gideon and those 300 men. Oh my, that scares me to death. You may be asking yourself why do I listen to false prophets? Because I don’t want to be like them. My goal is to share the gospel boldly but also accurately. But don’t be charmed by my good looks and profound teaching... ok I hear some of you laughing or rolling your eyes. Seriously, read God’s Word... please, please, please! Hold accountable all your staff, every teacher, deacon, and servant of the church. I would rather be rebuked by you than by God Himself. Satan has a way of slipping into any church... don’t be foolish Temple.
