Questions For The Week

1.  Elijah was one of the greatest prophets of Israel. Elisha likely knew he was going to lead after
Elijah was taken into Heaven – that’s probably why he asked for a double portion from Elijah.
Have you ever felt inadequate to lead when God has called? Why/why not? What can you
ask God to give you so you can lead well for HIS glory?

2.  Gehazi, as Elisha’s helper, got to see some amazing things – enemies defeated, miraculous
provision, barren women give birth, people raised from the grave, and lepers cleaned to name
a few. Why do you think Gehazi got greedy in 2 Kings 5:15? Where are you tempted to desire
the gift over the Giver? What do you think of Gehazi’s punishment – was it fair or not?

3.   2 Kings 6:16-17 is a fantastic story! Have you ever felt overwhelmed by your enemy but had
God remind you that He is with you always? Can you think of a time God overcame a problem
that was too big for you? What did it do for your trust in God? When you DON’T trust God,
      why do you not?
