QUESTONS FOR THE WEEK
  1. Paul says to rejoice often – in the context of not worrying about anything! That which you dwell ON you will find yourself dwelling IN. It is much easier to rejoice when you focus on the good stuff.  Where do you find yourself dwelling on negative things?  How does that affect your attitude and outlook? What needs to change?
  2. I’m confident I am NOT, like Paul, content in any circumstance. His contentment, I imagine, was partly due to having so many hardships – being shipwrecked, wrongfully imprisoned, losing so   much…. Where are you most discontent? Why? How can you work on that with God?
  3. Philippians 4:17 is an odd verse. Paul is in need, the Philippians help, but Paul is more interested in the profit they receive. Paul then says that Christ will restock their cupboards laid bare through generosity. Where do you find it most tempting to withhold when you could give?
