Galatians 2:19-21(HCSB)
19 For through the law I have died to the law, so that I might live for God. I have been crucified with Christ 20 and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. 21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing.
Mark Stephens
Have you ever sat back and wondered where we would be without Paul and his teachings? He is responsible for a good portion of the New Testament books. There is no better example of one who did not deserve forgiveness but received it anyway. There is no mistaking that he was aware of that and wants nothing less for anyone else. He boasted in nothing other than Christ. He did not keep Christ for himself but shared that Spirit with all he encountered (and reencountered). His position was what God designed; Christ died under the law and Paul knew he died with Him. In all his writings, Paul was a very selfless person. Again, there is no mistaking Paul’s position in these last couple of verses. He put his trust in Christ and knew he was no longer condemned. He stood firm that he and his sins died along with Christ on the cross. Where are you?
