A Note From Pastor H.D.

Happy Autumnal Equinox or Fall, whichever you prefer. It’s that time of year when the leaves begin to change and there is a crispness in the air. Here at Temple it means Upward Football / Cheer and Trunk or Treat. Seriously, it is a beautiful time of year and a great time to slow down a little. That is what nature is doing so maybe we should take a few notes. The next two months in our Bible Reading, we will look at two intriguing books. The Book of Philippians is the Book of Joy, despite our circumstances, and the Book of 1 Timothy is about Leadership and Organization. I hope you will take time to read these passages and listen to what God wants us to know. As His people, we will only find joy in Him, and we will only find our greatest purpose as we follow His design.

These study books, which take a lot of energy to produce, are intended to help you be ready for Connect and Worship BUT are also to be used in small groups. If you are not part of a small group, then get in one or create your own. It only takes 2 - 3 friends to get together once a week to discuss God’s word together. Also, check out our INSANE podcast with “Mike the Baptist”… it will make you feel better about yourself.
