QUESTIONS FOR THE WEEK

  1. We were once dead men walking (Eph. 6). Once Jesus made us alive, we died to sin. It’s only right we thank God by being His “instrument for righteousness.” We are saved from death and to righteousness. Where have you been enslaved by sin? Where can you enslave your life to Christ – not out of obligation but sheer thankfulness to His work of salvation?
  2. Sensory deprivation chambers must be crazy – no stimulation, just silence. Psalm 62 twice       mentions “silence.” It must seem like thunder when, in the silence, God speaks. Do you carve out space to create silence so you can hear Him speak? In good times and bad – No cell phone, no worries, no work…just God. Where can you create space for God?
  3. James 4:1-10 describes a person at war internally. Loving the world first is enmity with God. It is a type of spiritual “adultery.” He is “jealous” for you. Where do you need to “resist” the devil? Where do you need to draw near to God? Is it hard to see your love of the world as enmity with God?
