QUESTIONS FOR THE WEEK
1. Gal. 6:1-5 is a beautiful picture of how restoration can happen. How, exactly, can we restore in a “spirit of gentleness”? What does it mean to bear one another’s burdens (in the context of revealed sin)? Is there an area you need restoration? Is there an area you need to restore someone else?
2. In Matt. 7:1-6, judgment is not simply telling someone they are doing wrong – it is heavily linked with condemnation and punishment. What is the difference between judgment and correcting bad behavior? Why is it important to examine yourself before you talk to someone about their sin?
3. Notice in Gen. 14:1-16 that Abram was able to save many from Sodom and Gomorrah because 318 men were prepared in advance for the work. Spiritually speaking – 1) how can you prepare yourself for battle against the Enemy? 2) Who can you actively work to save from the Enemy? 3) Are you willing to go rescue people in hard places (see Gen. 19)?
